I really miss traveling. And I'm not going to bore you with all the things I miss due to the current state of the world. The truth is, the collective good is much more important than my desire to hop a plane or train and have an adventure.
But that doesn't mean I don't miss it. Trust me, I do. And if you're reading this, I bet you do too.
So what can we do right now?
Since stay-at-home orders and unexpected unemployment have hit, I have spent a lot of time reminiscing about past adventures and making dream lists of all the places I will visit once it's safe again. And I have continued to fall deeper and deeper into a #vanlife internet hole. I have made detailed drawings of how I will someday outfit my own van to travel the country full time.
So, at least for now, that's a lot of what this blog will be. Some van goals, some trips and tips about how to find adventure in these times, and some of my favorite past trips and best travel tips. And I love to make lists, so you can definitely expect some lists.
Planning for the future is hard right now. Something that is incredibly hard for planners like me to deal with. So, instead of spiraling out of control, I've started making Goal lists instead. Reading up on resources, searching for other travel inspiration. Making goals for the future still scratches that list-making itch without all the uncertainty of trying to make an actual plan.
Even more importantly, I want to hear from YOU! Where do you want to go someday? What roadblocks do you hit that stop you from traveling as much as you want to? What do you want to know about traveling on a budget? By yourself? With a dog?
Let me know in the comments below!
